About 5 or 6 years ago, my first time painting in Zion National Park, I painted an abstraction of these amazing domes. I think I was facing the Mountain of the Sun. I have always liked the painting but damaged the board on my move back East. Recently a possible client wanted to purchase the painting, but I explained the damage. They had hiked around Zion and loved the sites as I did. I offered to paint a similar painting, based on that one. This is it. It is painted it in the same abstract style, but with greater complexity, integrating who I am today.
